As lockdown is easing in the UK, its given us an opportunity to reflect back on the memories that brought a smile to our face and happiness to our soul. Memories that brought us joy and a smile to our face includes the time spent with our friends, families and from travelling to explore new places. It might seem irrelevant to reflect back on our happy and joyful memories and life before the global pandemic and worldwide lockdown but it's important. This pandemic has taught us to be grateful for the time spent with our friends and families as well as the freedom we have have which others may not have. We should learn to appreciate the moments in our lives and the time spent with those that matters the most. So, in this post, I'll be sharing some of my favourite dishes from Zizzi Italian.

For those that love Italian food, I recommend that you visit Zizzi Italian as they offer the best dishes that are not only mouthwatering and delicious but will also create a lot of food cravings. Not only does Zizzi Italian offer the best dishes but from the moment you enter the restaurant you'll feel the warm, bubbling and social atmosphere that's quite typical in an Italian establishments. I find this important; its not just about eating out but, its also the atmosphere and the experiences which ultimately creates memories. Memories you'll look back into one day and remember the time spent with your friends and family at a restaurant with a unique personality. What makes Zizzi Italian so special is they combine traditional and contemporary Italian cuisines to offer you the best traditional dishes with a Zizzi twist.

If you decide to visit Zizzi Italian, there are a few dishes and drinks you definitely shouldn't be miss out at all. For anyone that enjoys eating Garlic Bread, I recommend you try the Ndjua Garlic Bread which comes with a Zizzi twist. The twist being that the Garlic Bread is not what your typically expecting, instead, your getting a Garlic Bread that contains spicy sausage (Ndjua), melted Mozzarella cheese and grated riserva cheese which makes it even more delicious and mouthwatering than what you see in the images. It also comes with the perfect amount of spice so you wont find it overwhelming the other ingredients.

Moving on to drinks that can be enjoyed with Zizzi Italian incredible dishes. Zizzi Italian offers quite a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. For this post, I'll be sharing two of my favourite non alcoholic drinks that I believe is just as amazing as their alcoholic drinks. If your looking for drinks that'll get you into a summer mood and feels, I suggest you try all three coolers including their Raspberry Mint Cooler and the Passion Fruit Punch. All Coolers and Punch are made with fresh fruit puree topped with Sprite and a touch of lime that gives it a nice refreshing and sweet taste.

Starting with Zizzi Italian famous Casareccia Pollo Piccante which is one of my favourite dishes. What makes it so special is that it looks like a simple and ordinary pasta dish but what your not expecting is the burst of flavours and the spice combined with a creamy sauce topped with heritage tomatoes and spinach. The heritage tomatoes gives it the juiciness needed that enhances the overall taste of the pasta topped with just the right amount of spiciness that adds to the creaminess of it. With every mouthful you take you'll slowly fall in love with it to an extent where you'll be craving for more.

The Casareccia Pollo Piccante pasta dish is quite filling, it might seem like a small portion on the actual plate but once you starting eating you'll realise that it's deceptively filling so you might not finish it all. But not to worry as the waiting staffs at Zizzi can pack the remaining amount that you can then enjoy at home.

If your looking to try something other than pasta or Pizza, I suggest you try the Pollo Proscutto. Its chicken breast with sage wrapped around and prosciutto ham served with a white wine sauce, fried herby potatoes and fresh green beans. Only downside specifically for me is the wrapped ham over the chicken breast, I believe it ruins the overall taste of the chicken combined with the white wine sauce, herby potatoes and green beans. Moving to the positives, the chicken is made to perfection there isn't a single flaw to it. Even better is their smooth and creamy white wine sauce that goes perfectly well with the chicken, fried herby potatoes and green beans.

What I love more than great food and good company is desserts and that's something I'm highly passionate about. Two desserts that I love ordering at Zizzi includes their Red Velvet Brownie and Chocolate melt. There is a small downside to the Red Velvet Brownie, it's a festive special so your only able to get this during the Christmas period but it's worth the wait!

The Red Velvet Brownie swirled in red velvet and vanilla cheesecake, sprinkled with white chocolate snowflakes and cocoa sparkle powder and served with a sour cherry sauce in an edible white chocolate cup is the best dessert I've ever had. The cherry sauce is quite sour and tangy but when poured onto the brownie, it makes for the perfect combination of sweet and sour. I can truly say this as someone that's highly fond of desserts that this is a dream come true!

The most exceptional dessert offered at Zizzi is their Chocolate Melt, it's a hot gooey, chocolate pudding served with vanilla gelato. It's an amazing dessert and with every mouthful you take of the chocolate pudding you'll understand why its such a beautiful dessert. The chocolate melt is a dream come true for chocoholic as its made to perfection.

It all seems very mouthwatering and delicious well it is and that's why you should try Zizzi Italian at least once. You wont regret eating at Zizzi at all instead you'll be ordering for more and craving for more!
